Research Use Only Policy
Our products are for legitimate laboratory and scientific research — never for human or veterinary use. This page sets out exactly what that means and what it asks of you as a purchaser.
Section 01 — Overview
This policy explains how Peptide Superstore products may be used, who they're intended for, and what a purchaser agrees to by ordering them. It applies to every product on this site, alongside our Terms and Conditions, product labeling, and any documentation that ships with an order.
Research Use Only isn’t a formality — it’s a condition of sale. Where this policy and a product label impose the same restriction, both apply.
Section 02 — What Research Use Only means
Research Use Only means the material is supplied for controlled research or laboratory work by qualified personnel — never as an approved medicine, supplement, food, cosmetic, medical device, veterinary product, or any consumer therapeutic product.
Nothing about a compound's availability, its documentation, or the literature written about it changes that.
- Analytical and method-development research
- Chemical and biochemical research
- Reference and comparative laboratory work
- In-vitro research in an appropriate setting
- Assay and instrumentation-related research
- Laboratory quality-control and validation work
Section 03 — No human use
Research Use Only products are not intended for human consumption or administration in any form, and must not be used in or on the human body — regardless of the purchaser’s profession, qualifications, or intent.
We don't provide dosing, administration, or reconstitution-for-administration guidance, and can't answer questions framed around personal use.
- Ingestion, injection, or implantation
- Topical or therapeutic application
- Self-administration of any kind
- Clinical or diagnostic use in humans
- Use as a medication or supplement
- Compounding for human administration
Section 04 — No animal or veterinary use
These products are not intended for veterinary treatment, diagnosis, or therapeutic use, and nothing here should be read as veterinary guidance or approval for animal administration.
Legitimate institutional animal research is governed by the purchaser’s own regulatory approvals and protocols. We never supply for consumer or at-home veterinary use.
Section 05 — Qualified purchasers
We supply researchers, laboratories, academic and research institutions, biotechnology and analytical organizations, and other purchasers buying for legitimate research and development. Registration asks for a researcher type and an RUO acknowledgment, which we retain.
Accepting an order isn’t a determination that a purchaser holds any particular credential or license. Where intended use is unclear, we may ask for more information before releasing it.
Section 06 — Purchaser responsibilities
Lawful, safe, appropriate use is the purchaser’s responsibility, and their organization’s. By ordering, you take on the following.
- Understanding the laws and regulations applicable to your work and jurisdiction
- Following your institution’s policies, approvals, and protocols
- Observing product labeling and any documentation supplied
- Handling, storing, and disposing of material appropriately
- Using suitable personal protective equipment
- Ensuring personnel are trained for the work
- Maintaining controlled access where appropriate
- Preventing diversion to human or veterinary consumption
- Ensuring anyone downstream understands the RUO restrictions
Section 07 — No medical claims
We don’t sell products to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease.
Product descriptions aren't prescribing information, references to published research aren't medical recommendations, and a compound being studied doesn't change what we're selling it for. None of it is an invitation to personal use.
Section 08 — Scientific and educational information
Chemical names, sequence data, technical specifications, and literature references are published for research, analysis, and education.
None of it makes a medical claim, establishes a therapeutic use, or recommends using a compound in any particular way.
Section 09 — Product information and documentation
Specifications vary by product and lot — check the documentation for the specific lot you receive rather than relying on general descriptions.
Certificates of analysis are published per lot and searchable in COA Lookup by the lot number on your vial. They describe the material as tested; they are not instructions for use.
Section 10 — Third-party research references
Where we reference outside studies, that research is independent of Peptide Superstore — citing it is not an endorsement of any use it describes.
Published results don’t turn a Research Use Only product into an approved medical one, and referencing literature is not a therapeutic recommendation.
Section 11 — Laboratory handling
Handle material only in a controlled research setting, by trained personnel, following your own safety procedures and any documentation supplied with the product.
- Handle in a controlled laboratory environment
- Restrict handling to qualified personnel
- Keep containers clearly labeled
- Avoid cross-contamination between materials
- Use appropriate equipment for the work
- Keep records consistent with your institution’s practice
- Store securely with controlled access
- Segregate research materials from other stock
Section 12 — Safety and protective equipment
Standard laboratory precautions apply to everything we supply. Follow your facility’s safety procedures, and any product-specific safety documentation that ships with your order.
- Appropriate gloves
- Eye protection
- Laboratory coat or protective clothing
- Clean, uncluttered work surface
- Avoid direct skin, eye, and inhalation exposure
- Follow your facility’s safety and disposal procedures
Section 13 — Storage and stability
Store material as described on the label, packaging, or any storage guidance supplied — requirements differ by compound and format.
Product-specific guidance always takes precedence over anything general stated here.
Section 14 — Prohibited uses
The uses below are prohibited — the list isn’t exhaustive. Anything inconsistent with the Research Use Only designation falls outside the terms on which we supply material.
- Human consumption or self-administration
- Human injection or any other administration
- Veterinary or clinical treatment
- Diagnostic use in humans or animals
- Prescribing, dispensing, or compounding for therapeutic use
- Relabeling material for human consumption
- Representing products as approved medicines
- Promoting products for therapeutic outcomes
- Removing or obscuring RUO labeling
- Supplying material to individuals for personal consumption
- Any use that violates applicable law
- Fraudulent or deceptive use of any kind
Section 15 — Resale, redistribution and diversion
Purchasers can’t resell, redistribute, relabel, or market our products in a way that misrepresents intended use, strips the RUO restrictions, promotes human or veterinary use, makes a medical claim, or breaks the law.
Wholesale partners buy under the same restrictions as every other customer, and are responsible for passing those restrictions to their own customers intact. Wholesale terms are on the Wholesale page.
Section 16 — Product labeling
RUO labeling and its warnings are part of the intended-use restriction, not decoration — keep it intact and legible for as long as you hold the material.
Removing, concealing, or altering that labeling in a way that changes the represented intended use is prohibited.
Section 17 — Regulatory responsibility
Understanding and following the laws, regulations, and permit requirements that apply to your research and jurisdiction is on you — requirements vary too widely for us to determine them on a customer’s behalf.
Accepting an order is not legal or regulatory advice, and is not a determination that your intended work is permitted where you operate.
Section 18 — Institutional compliance
Buying on behalf of a university, laboratory, research organization, or company means you’re responsible for the internal approvals, protocols, and safety procedures being in place before the material is ordered or used.
You’re also responsible for making sure everyone who handles the material understands these restrictions.
Section 19 — Order review and verification
We may review an order where something suggests a compliance concern — asking about intended use, the ordering organization, or other relevant details.
This is a normal part of supplying research materials responsibly. Most orders are never affected, and a short reply is usually all we need.
Section 20 — Right to refuse or cancel service
We may decline, limit, cancel, or refuse any order, and suspend account access, wherever there is reasonable concern about misuse, human or veterinary consumption, fraud, misrepresentation, resale for prohibited purposes, circumventing these restrictions, illegal activity, or any other policy violation.
That includes orders describing a human or animal application, requests for dosing advice, and details inconsistent with a research or institutional purchase.
Section 21 — Suspected misuse
Credible evidence of misuse or a policy violation gets a proportionate response, which can include the following.
- Requesting clarification of intended use
- Holding or canceling an affected order
- Restricting future purchases
- Closing purchasing access
- Declining to supply particular products
Section 22 — No professional advice
Nothing published on this site is medical, veterinary, legal, regulatory, or clinical advice. Talk to a qualified professional for that.
Section 23 — Accidental exposure and emergencies
Handle spills and accidental exposure per your facility’s established safety procedures and any documentation supplied with the product.
In an emergency, get appropriate professional help immediately — we cannot provide medical treatment guidance.
Section 24 — Acceptance of this policy
Creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using this site means accepting this Research Use Only Policy in full, alongside our Terms and Conditions. Registration includes an acknowledgment of research use, retained with the account.
By purchasing, you confirm you’ve reviewed these restrictions and agree to comply with them, with the product labeling, and with our terms of sale.
Section 25 — Policy updates
We may revise this policy to reflect operational changes, product changes, compliance practice, or legal and regulatory developments. A revision takes effect when posted, and the date at the top of this page updates accordingly.
Using the site after a revision means accepting the updated policy.
